I am in the middle of a situation where I am eating but am really restricting my food by only eating oatmeal and bananas. I just can't seem to break myself free from this. My skin is beginning to look worse than normal and this is adding to make me even more reclusive than normal.

Oh goodness :/ I have been there. It took me literally years to eat things I wouldn't allow myself to touch in so long. There's still stuff I cannot bring myself to eat.

I started adding just 1 food item at a time. Like say a veggie burger. I used to go for stuff I could justify by noting the nutritional value. Eggs are a good one too. You gotta have protein. I'm a big fan of protein ;) My bf's mom has arthritis and she eats loads of broccoli. She only has whole grain breads too. She swears her diet has helped her arthritis so much!

I'm glad your getting the bananas! Potassium is good :D

I seriously think we need to concentrate on the benefits of the food we eat. We don't have to eat junk to gain weight. We can stick to healthy with a variety of food.

Take your time. Try and enjoy the foods ya can eat.
