feel insignificant to around others

I didn't really know how to word the title of this post. I feel that others are better than I am and feel like they have a better handle on themselves, etc. I'm 30 and have even thought this way around my three year old newphew. Like they know who they are, what they want. When I talk sometimes I feel judged a lot and not so important. I'll feel this way even when talking with the neighbor. I often times think I'm a bother to people. How do I not feel this way?? Thank you.

I liked the example you used. That is another good way of thinking. Thank you!
