Do you feel that emergency contraception should be available, no questions asked, to girls under age 16?

I personally feel that emergency contraception should be made available, no questions asked, to girls as young as 16.

That's a really tough question. Before I got married and had my babies, I would have said "Yes, absolutely." Now that I have a daughter and another on the way, my viewpoints on issues of this nature have changed dramatically. While I strongly believe that anyone under the age of 18 doesn't have a fully developed ability to weigh physical and emotional risk, I'm tempted to say No, contraceptives and/or emergency contraceptives shouldn't be available to people that young without parental consent. At the same time, I was also a teenager once. It's difficult to think about a teenager making a drastic choice because of limited "safe" resources and feeling unable to talk to their parents or another adult about what they may be going through.

In the meantime, I just pray that my own kids will always feel comfortable enough to talk to me about their lives so that I can help them make healthy decisions.
