Hey there ladies! I have a job where I sit alot....too much of my day involves sitting. Recently, (about a week ago) I started experiencing a slight bit of pain in my upper right calf, on the back and only when I sat for too long of a period of time, like 1-2 hours. I try my best to plan things to do so I can be moving, but I'm a nanny and I get tired with her, she's 2, and then we sit...I also usually sit during her afternoon nap, which lasts 1-3 hours. I have been on ortho-cyclen lo since May and am only recently experiencing this. My Mom, after her second child, was put back on the pill and developed a blood clot in her leg. She was treated for that and was fine afterwards. However, I do not show any signs of a clot. No temperature differentiation on my leg, no spots or redness, no swelling...none of that! I went to the doctor today and he did a thourough check of my leg. He even felt the veins down by my ankle and said it was pulsing through just fine..im assuming he meant the blood. Anyways, I am at the end of a pack of bc and he said since I am not in need of the birth control at this time, it would be okay if I wanted to stop, as I am coming off of health insurance for 2 months. I am currently on my parents insurance and will be getting married in February, and will pick it back up then. I called my obgyn and they said I am safe to continue taking the placebo pills of this pack and then stop taking the birth control. Have any of you ever experienced leg pain on birth control? I hate sitting so much but it just seems to happen with my job and I haaaate it! Any input, suggestions, advice or ideas/stories of yourself about a smiliar issue would be GREATLY GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Thanks, Monster!
