I'm on the nuvaring and have been for the past four years. Since I have a mild case of poly-cystic ovarian syndrome, my gynecologist wants me on birth control regardless if I'm in a sexual relationship or not. so that I "give my ovaries a rest" and not ovulate. I love that with the nuvaring I don't have to worry about taking my pill at the same time everyday or about the side-effects of doubling up on a day after I missed a pill.
