I am just curious as to what other women use and why. Also, how old are you? Has your birth control method changed as you have gotten older?

I had my tubes tied after my third daughter 4 years ago, but before that I went through stages of birth control and they definitely changed as I aged.  I started on the pill at 16, had my first daughter while on the pill at 18, then went back on the pill til I was 21.  At that time I switched to the depo shot and stayed on that for 3 years.  At that time they started suggesting women not stay on the depo shot long term because of possibly long term affects and opsteoporiss.  I went off of it and went back on birth controls pills, but had a lot of problems with them that I had not had in my younger years.  I tried a variety of them and things only got worse.  I went back on the depo shot at 26 for 9 months.  At that time I was getting ready to get married and knew I'd want more kids, and my PMS was out of control so I went to the natural family planning method.  I stuck with NFP through both little girls and if I had not had my tubes tied, I would have stuck with that method indefinitely.
