Anovulatory or Ovulatory cycle??

Hello... I'm 37 yrs old and not trying to conceive. My menstrual cycles over the past year or so having been irregular, ranging from 21-40 days. I've also had some additional pms symptoms as well (breast tenderness, rumbling stomach) over the past several months in addition to my regular ones. I feel I may be early perimenopausal. My last cycle was the longest at 40 days. I had pms for 20 days. So, I decided to chart my current cycle's temps on fertility friend to see when/if I'm ovulating. I'm on cd34 and they have not not detected ovulation and frankly I don't see a thermal shift. I started having pms on cd 17 with twinging cramps the day before. I saw bright red spotting a few days after pms started on 3 different days. I've also been having mild cramps for the past several days and nausea as well (I know that's a perimenopause symptom.) I've seen typical vaginal discharge, but very little eggwhite, maybe a day or two of it. I've seen watery or clear stretchy discharge the past few days and yellowish discharge 2 days in a row. Here is the link to my chart on FF: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/chart_module.php. Hopefully you can see this. Based on this info., what could be going on?? My temp today is too high because I was sleep deprived from last night. Only slept 15-30 min before taking it. Thanks!! .

Hi there!

It's certainly possible that you are perimenopausal.  Unfortunately, I couldn't see your chart.  It just asked me to log in.  But, see what happenes tomorrow with your temp.  Hopefully you will get a better nights rest!  I charted for years to prevent, then to concieve so I understand how temps can be affected by sleep.

If it really seems like you aren't ovulating, you may want to check in with your doctor.  Get some blood tests done to see what's going on.  Perimenopause isn't the only thing that can mess with your cycle so better to be safe!

Hope you find some answers!

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry you couldn't see my chart. I don't know of another way to get it to show on here.  I've slept better the past 2 nights, thanks. Smile I'm on day 36 now. Still no sign of ovulation. My temps have just been up and down. I've had a lot of watery discharge over the past few days, but a lot dryer today. I don't know if that means anything. I'm still having some cramps, but some of the other symptoms have subsided some. That could be due, though, to that I've been taking Tylenol cold for 2 days now for drainage. We'll see what happens.

Here is the link again: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/1954ff Maybe it will work this time. I'm on cd39. Ovulation still not detected and still having pms symptoms.

Fertility Friend said today the ovulation date was cd 37 and drew a solid color coverline vs dotted line. I'm on cd 40 now. I have had 3 temps higher since cd 37. I'm not sure the temp for today is 100% correct but we will see what happens over the next couple of days, plus due to that I've been having pms symptoms for so long now.
