Fed up with symptoms

I am 51 years old. Been with the same man for over 30 years. Had a total hysterecomy at age 30 due to endometrosis.

About a month ago I started with some mild external itching. I am sensitive to dryer sheets and thought I might have accidentally added one to my undies when drying. After about a week I noticed burning AFTER I peed. And a heaviness in my lower pelvis. Thought it might be UTI so went to Urgent care....urine test neg. but Dr gave me Cipro. 3 days later full blown Yeast infection. Worst I've ever had. Went back to urgent care, had urine test, Dr asked a few questions and gave me 3 days of Diflucan (no exams either visit). Started feeling a lot better after second diflucan. Yes I took all 3. ;)

The last Diflucan was last Wed. On Friday I started having symptoms. I feel like I have to P all of the time. Like pressure and bloating in my pelvic area. And the mild itch is back. It's worse when I stand up and in the morning. Any ideas?

I eat yogurt everyday. Have no medicine changes. I'm perplexed and miserable!

I have an appt with a GYN but soonest I could get in is Friday.

Thanks!

She has me doing a bladder diary. Also, they sent off a swab as she saw some discharge but doesn't want to treat it without knowing exactly what it is. Either yeast or vaginosis. I hope to know Monday.

Hopefully it comes back as nothing serious. You may want to start some probiotics. It's not just good for your digestive system, it's also very beneficial for your vaginal flora. I'm prone to yeast infections and as long as I stay on a probiotic, I don't get them.

Please keep us updated!
