I'm looking for advice on whether to have a fibroid removed. It's 12cm and my uterus is enlarged. My doctor said that fibroids eventually go away on their own. I know a lot of women choose to have them removed and I know there are different methods of doing so. I'm looking for feedback and thoughts on the subject. Thanks in advance.

Fibroids are a sign that you have a condition referred to as "estrogen dominance", meaning you do not have enough progesterone to counteract the harmful side of estrogen.  Estrogen dominance often leads to gynecological cancer, uterine and ovarian, and breast cancer.

Has your doctor given you any suggestions at all?  If not, I would look for a doctor that is more willing to sit down with you and go over options, whether you want to do it with surgery or other ways.  Here are two articles that many help with the non-surgical route:
