Pain with an endometrial ablation?

I'm going to call my doc to schedule an endometrial ablation. I have to have the hot water one instead of the electric current b/c of my essure coils. He said it would take about 8 minutes.

Who's had this done? Is it painful? I've had 3 HSG's and they caused painful cramping, but nothing I couldn't handle for the 2 minutes it took. I'm wondering if the cramping from the hot water will be similar.

Hello!

I wish I could help you out. I've never had an ablation. Are they going to give you something for pain? I can imagine it will be quite uncomfortable!

Please come back and let us know how you are doing and how the procedure went. (((hugs)))
