After 11 years with the same company I was downsized... So, I went in for all my check-ups before losing my insurance. 2 days after my insurance lapsed my GYN called me telling my I had several fibroid tumors, an ovarian cyst, a lump in my breast and because of my history he wanted a uterine biopsy ASAP. He told me it would be best to get a hysterectomy as soon as I could get medical coverage (I have PCOS and also had previously had a portion of my cervix removed due to cancer cells, so I wasn't surprised at this). That was a year and a half ago.

I had been having very painful periods with heavy bleeding. Now I'm at a point where I'm suffering for with severe cramps 2 weeks out of the month, sometimes bleeding and spotting the whole 2 weeks. I am never without discomfort (cramps) in my lower abdomen. At it's worst the cramps go all the way down my legs.

What an experience. I wish I knew what to tell you. Looks like you are stuck between a rock and a hard place. As one who is self insured, I get how crazy expensive it can be. But, find an insurance agent to talk too. Mine has been a huge blessing! There are less expensive plans. They don't cover as much, but at least you can get done what you need to and then make payments. I hope you figure something out soon!

I fall into the same catagory as you do. I have a pre-cancerous condition, and absolutely no hope of receiving the medical
