I appreciate your reply redheaddivamom, but she's not suffering from yeast infections. She's suffering from BV. Totally different. I agree about the probiotics though! Thanks for posting!
I totally agree that a probiotic is so important. It's been the only thing that helped me with my recurring yeast infections. That and getting off the pill!
See, now I would be very suspicious of the IUD. It's been in your body for 4 years. A foreign object, in your body. Plus the hormones. I had been on the pill for 5 years before I started getting recurring yeast infections. Every single month I got an infection before my period. Nothing helped until I stopped taking it. Not one doctor told me that's what it was. That's actually when I came to this board. I was at my wits end, like you.
I think you should consider having it taken out. Give your body a break for 6 months and see what happens. You can always have one put back in, right? Of course, this is just my opinion. Something to think about though!
Hi Michelle, Welcome!
I totally understand what you mean.
Michelle,
I'm surprised your Doctor has not told you about the root cause of your BV.
Thanks all! I have tried to take acidopholus (sp).
