I just had my second abnormal pap in 6 months.

Hello! It really depends on what strain you have. Some strains have no symptoms which is why it's so easily spread! Other strains cause growths or warts. I understand your doctor wanting to wait. Often times, our body does fight it off on it's own. When I had HPV, I had warts on my cervix that were removed by laser. That was over 10 years ago and I haven't had an abnormal pap since then. Only a few strains cause cancer but I'm sure your doctor is keeping a close eye on you. If you have concerns, please talk with your doctor. No need to worry so much. HPV is very common these days, unfortunately!
