Hi there. I've been reading some of the posts and discussions by all of you and decided to reach out myself. I turned 35 in January and decided to stop living in denial and do something about my health. On my 35th birthday I stepped on the scale, and was saddened- but not shocked- to see that I was only 22 pounds from the 400 pound mark.

Welcome to the board!

This journey is all about motivation and desire, and being willing to not only stick with it but start again over and over...

It is great that you have had success at other things in your life because I bet you know the key to success is always hard work.

You are doing what I think are the most important things - journaling your food and moving more. Please share your journey with us!

Best wishes

Hi and welcome to our board!

This is a long journey, but it's easier if we go on it together.

It's funny that you ask that question because I had a moment like that the other day. I was coming up the steps from the laundry room and it seemed to be easier. Now I know that 10 pounds would not make that much difference with my current weight, but it really felt different. Maybe it was increased energy from getting moving, maybe I am just feeling better about myself. Either way, I'll take it!

So, just as everything gets going, and going well, I have hit a bit of a snag. I have been diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis, an inflammatory (and super painful) condition in my right foot. It has many causes, two of which are doing dance aerobics and carrying extra weight- Bingo and Bingo for me!
