Another weekly question- How do you relax? IMHO eating less and pushing my body's physical limits is mentally and physically stressful at times. My budget is somewhat limited. Oh how I would love to get weekly or monthly massages!!

I'm a big one for a good book, a warm drink and a cat... and eventually that devolves into a nap, I fear! LOL

relaxing for me lately has been just being at home. When the weather is warmer though my special treat for me is pedicures. I have a mad addiction to flip flops and love for my toes to be cute in them.

I was going to say watching sports but thatis not always that relaxing. From a gym perspectiive, I like Pilates for relaxing. And swimming is very mindless. When it is warm outside, walking on the beach or otherwise is good. Sitting in the sun witha good book is high on my list. Just sitting on the couch with my iPad and tv is my latest time waster. Manicures, pedicures, massage are all good. For as much as I complain, I have a very wonderful life with lots of good stuff for me in it. SJ

SJ- that reminds me when you said that about sitting in the sun. I love love love sitting in a sunny warm (but not too hot) room especially this time of year. I have big windows in my kitchen. I sometimes just stand there for a couple minutes in the bright morning sun. It feels wonderful!

After I'm done at the gym, I go into the steam room, and just close my eyes and relax. And on Sundays I do a yoga class - which to me really is a good way to relax after a long week!

Miranda- I go to a Hot Yoga class at the end of my workout week. It always feels so good. I did that a lot last year for a normal yoga class. It felt so good to just stretch everything out.

I honestly thought a lot about this topic throughout my week. I wanted to add that I use my Scentsy during the week to keep the house smelling "happy." The other thing I've been doing this winter is using a coconut body spray after I take a shower. In fact I've been using coconut scented body soap as well this winter. It reminds me of the time I lived near the beach and how relaxing that life really was. It's amazing how a scent can take your mind to another place and bring relaxation.

Liz Dannon makes a nice Light and Fit 80 calorie pineapple coconut yogurt that is very piña colada like...obviously not exactly the same but a good way to get the taste without the rum... Meet you in Margaretaville... SJ
