Tanya - that does sound yummy. I will look for spaghetti squash this week.
Tmz - a few years ago, someone told me 'today is the coldest day of my life.' I asked how he had kept track, and he said it was the coldest day in 60 years...so it was the coldest day in my life too...9 is actually not that bad if you dress for it. But it akes a lot longer to put on underwear, camisole, tights, pants, blouse, sweater, socks, shoes, scarf, coat, another scarf, hat, gloves, than in the summer when it's underwear, bra, dress, sandals out the door...plus the laundry piles up fast.
And I say go for the second gym membership. Pretend it's preschool for your daughter. Surely the other little darlings will teach her some cute toddler tricks...
My gym was Zooey tonight. At one point I counted ten people all clustered around in one little area. I lift part of the time in the 'big guy' room, and it wasn't busier than usual but all of the balls were trapped in ball class...
Have a great Friday everyone!

They were talking about this on the news the other day - all of the gyms here are packed with people who decided on 1-1-12 that it is time to get busy and get fit.
Liz,
Sorry to hear about your foot pain. A trick I use is to fill a deepncontainer(I use axwastebasket) with water and ice. Then put your foot in and write the alphabet with your big toe. There is something about the movementplus the time in the cold tsp helps.
I too am riveted by the election. Massachusetts is such a liberal area (at least here in the city) that it doesn't't seem possible that other parts of the country are so far to the right. The highlight of my Sundy mornings is 'Meet the Press'. Not the same without Tim Russert who was so good at calling people liars without saying the words...but I think it is still the best hour on tv each week. At the gym, they know iam a sports fanatic but occasionally my political love shows - I look forward to the conventions this summer, although they are so staged now they aren't as fun. But think of the Republicans going to the convention with a three way split, and Julianni or Christy or Palin riding in on a white horse to take itall..
Did you ever read the book 'Convention'? I can't remember the author and an't find it via google..but bit was a fictional story of the behind the scenes events at a convention..I have it on thevCape and wil lookmfor the author next time I am there.
Happy weekend.

I felt a little odd because last Friday I was among the newbies for Hot Yoga at the gym. I'd been meaning to catch that class for two months but never made it. Oh well. Maybe in a few weeks it won't be so crowded. I'll be back up there on Tuesday!
We all have to start sometime...next week there will probably be someone newer than you...
I do not like going someplace I have never been...and yet since I go to lots of places, I tell myself I must ge able to survive 'the first time.' because otherwise, I would never leave the house...and obviously I do. I also am always afraid when I go out to dinner withbso, done, I won't be able to think of nothing to talk about. This never happens, but I still worry about it, even with people I know well. Although part of my family is very quiet, and car rides can be very silent...
Have a great week everyone,

Sorry to hear that Liz, Just a FYI I went to a Family Medicine doc that is a Sports Medicine specialist. I was leery of going to a podiatrist because I was worried they would recommend surgery as a first option. I honestly felt he was very well equip to handle my issues. He was also very understanding when it came to my need to stay active for weight loss issues.
