Keeping a kitchen curfew

I got a newsletter from iVillage this morning about weight loss and I browsed through it and saw this very interesting article about keeping a kitchen curfew. Late night tv with a snack is definitely one of my problems and my husband and I have considered trying to turn the tv off earlier. I had never thought of turning the kitchen off.  We have been discussing this kitchen curfew and we think it may work if we work together on it. Have you ever tried it? http://www.ivillage.com/10-ways-lose-weight-10-minutes/4-a-523253 how did it work? Was it something you could reasonably do?

I think it would work...I know that sometimes I convince myself to go to the gym because I know if I don't I will just go home and eat...

i think its a great idea! Thankfully I don' t have much trouble at night its during the day because I'm a SAHM. Maybe I could put my kitchen in 'time out' between meals during the day? Its so hard to stay out of there after lunch and before dinner!!!

Now that is really a neat idea! Not to mention, it would certainly help eliminating those surprise dirty dishes in the mornings! LOL I just may have to give it a go!

I had never heard of that before but it sounds like an excellent idea. I've always kept my children out of the kitchen at a certain time of the night but never applied it to myself. I am game to give it a try!
