I started listening to a great weight loss pod cast last month. The hosts have lost weight and kept it off for YEARS. Both of them say it's something they have to keep mindful of each day. One of the ladies says it would be very easy for her to go back to over eating if she wasn't making the decision each and every day not to overeat. I get sad when I think if it that way.

I don't remember most of my dreams, but I have two recurring ones - the common one where I am naked in public places, and the one which I think is equivalent to the 'unprepared for an exam' dream where I find out I can't graduate from college because I didn't take French IV in high school.

I have no expertise in this except experience, so this is totally only my opinion.

I do believe the draw to food will always be there to some degree. While I was maintaining my weight before I still had the urge to the wrong things for the wrong reasons, I just didn't. Well, not until my parinatologist told me to eat 2500 calories a day during my pregnancy. Then it was no holds barred in my brain. I see myself as though I could be compared to an alcoholic that fell off the wagon for three years. Now I'm trying to get back on. The difference is, alcoholics stop drinking all together. We can't stop eating so we have to find a way to eat in moderation. It's tough, but it CAN be done and is done all the time. It does get easier.

I NEVER thought of any of that....except for the emotional eating part.

I have been at this a long time so I can't say if I remember having bad dreams but I think it is very reasonable because your body is 'detoxing' from things like fat, sugar, caffeine etc.

Same here, girl....HORRIBLE dreams but they seem to get worse when I'm on detox.
