Do you write down what you eat or how much you exercise?

If so, what form do you use? Just a list on paper, or a tracking website, or something else? How detailed? Do you count calories eaten and expended, or just what you ate or did?

Have you found any particular website or app etc to be especially helpful for you?

I've heard quite a few people swear by the journaling.  I know I do better when I keep some kind of track -- either with cards or points or calories.  I've never really thought of it as a journal though.

Karen, I've never kept a journal for food or exercise. When I'm counting calories I write it down on a piece of paper, and I tracked intake and exercise online at Sparkpeople for a few months. It was pretty time consuming though. I was wondering if people would report back with great success from journaling...

When I'm doing a diet that requires me to keep track of points or calories, I tend to write things down.  When I'm low carbing, I don't really bother.

I'm currently using the tracker that comes along with my WW online membership.  So far, I like it pretty well.

Are you a journaler?  (Is that a word?)
