Do you keep track of your food and exercise?

I'm just curious if anyone keeps track of their food intake and exercise. Does it help or is it just a lot of trouble? I don't want to discourage myself when I feel I am doing better but I keep reading about it and want to hear from some real people who have tried it and get their opinions.

  • I'm not keeping track right now because I'm currently doing a low-carb diet that's relatively simple to keep track of.  When I did Weight Watchers, I recorded every bite I ate.  I've talked to some people who absolutely swear by journaling their food and exercise, and I have the feeling there are discoveries to be made when everything gets written down.  If you've never tried it, it might be worth giving it a try for a few weeks - just to see if it works for you.  I'd love to hear how it works out!
