GOOD MONDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Whew!  Where does the weekend go? Did you have a good one, Buddies?  Mine was pretty nice.  We went to see K's play on Friday night, and she did really well.  J and I played some video games over the weekend, and that was fun.  I searched around on the internet for inexpensive Christmas gifts - didn't find much, but I'm not giving up.  I wish I was more artsy craftsy than I am.  I cross stitch a little, so I was thinking if I could find some simple patterns, I might do a few ornaments or small pictures.  That's about all I have so far.  I'd love any suggestions for nearly-free gifts that you can suggest!

So,  what is your plan for today?  More of the usual for me - grading, prepping, whining ;) ....   If I get my school work finished, I want to work out a grocery list and maybe look around for more Christmas ideas.

I hope you have a terrific day, Buddies!

HI Buddies.

Karen: for gifts,  I have friends who shop at Goodwill for gifts or like my volunteer job they have clothing and stuff for around the house, even purses and jewelry for gifts, do you have any of that in your area?    I might live in a small area but there is several places to get these kinds of gifts so I am sure you have some where you are.   Some of the clothing is really nice as we don't put out any decent stuff, if it is ripped or soiled,  we don't sell it.

The outlets were the best I have ever been too.   Got a Coach purse that was almost a third of its original cost, a smaller Wilson leather purse,  black tennies and 7 tops.  I am always so hot temperature wise, I am buying a lot of 3/4 sleeves or if they are long sleeved, very light fabric, so 6 of those fit that and the 7th is like long john fabric.    My firend bought tons more than me,  shoppers were wheeling around suitcases and filling them up!    It was only 3 hrs from us.

They have a bus trip next April to some huge Vera Bradley factory sale in Indiana, and we are thinking of doing that one too.   I might need Vera wallet to match my Coach purse.

Today no plans outside of dinner out tonight.   There was so much walking on saturday that I have a nasty fluid filled blister on my one toe so using that as flimsy excuse not to at home exercising until later this week.   But will walk my little girl later.   I slept with her on couch friday and saturday to offset my trek out of town, so last night we were back to me in bed and her in crate and she was OK.  I was afraid she was going to whimper high heaven but she didn't.

Have a good day ladies,  love,  Josie

Josie -

Thanks for the suggestion.  Dan and I went through every Goodwill store within about 30 miles of here the last time we had to do this, and believe me - we're doing it again.  I haven't had as much luck this time though.  I guess with the bad economy people are hanging on to their good stuff even if they don't need it.

Your shopping trip sounds like fun.  There's nothing like a great day of shopping!  I remember when we visited Williamsburg about 15 years ago.  They had some great outlets there, and we really made a day of it.

Karen: I wish you lived closer as we have some good stuff here locally! I am hoping you find some really good bargains. Williamsburg was the first outlets I ever went to and that was many many years ago, longer than 15 for sure. hugs, Josie
