Yay!  It's Friday!  I'm glad to have a few days of break.  I've got a bunch of stuff to do around here, but at least I can take a day or two off from grading.  And - we have fun plans for tonight!  K is in a play, and she has two comp tickets we can use, so we're off to the theater!  After that, we're going to K's apartment for a while.  Normally, we'd take her out, but we're economizing these days.  It'll be fun to be together no matter where we are. :)

What are your plans for today, Buddies?  I hope you have a fabu Friday!

Ruthie -

My mom's neuropathy wasn't the result of any of the usual causes (diabetes, etc.) - they never did assign a cause.  She's doing really well though.  It took a while for them to narrow down the best treatment for her, but once they did, she was off to the races....actually, more like off to the mall, but you get the idea.

No word on a job for Dan yet.  There really aren't many openings for someone in his line of work this time of year.  Right now, he's taking temp jobs to earn a little money, but they don't come with benefits -- with J's health, I really can't wait to have decent insurance again.  All in God's time though....  :)

Hi Josie....Never mind the advice and what helped ....My Vitamin B level is fine...but will keep it in mind...

Doctor wanted to know if I wanted anything for the discomfort and I said not yet....so he said it was up to me....it is not horrible and hoping by exercise, diet and extra water will help...not use to having a chronic condition...so I am learning....Just the walk yesterday made my evening better... :)

We were out again today for a nice walk....so that was good on all levels!

THANKS for any and all suggestions....( I like socks on my feet...not a shoe lover at all...)...lol

I like being around.... :)

Hugs, Ruthie

Ruthie:  my husband didn't have diabetes but it is common with diabetes.   He was on Cymbalta which helped, that med is also used with depression and if one has a chronie health condition,  depression is usually in the mix so it was good for both of those things.

He was also advised to take a Vitamin B complex and did better on the bigger one, he went down to a smaller pill and said he suffered more neuropathy pain so went back to the original dose, and I can't remember what the number was.   He also felt better never to be bare footed, even at home,  would wear shoes or supportive slippers.   Just sharing what he experienced but you are smart lady and probably looked a bunch of this stuff up.

I hope you do get healthier as I enjoy having you around.   love,  Josie

Good Morning....

Yes it is neuropathy....of uncertain causes...having more blood work done today...and the needle test done next week...Had a good talk with the neurologist...and I think this is my 'wake' up call....He said 'could' be a precurser to diabetes....and guess what...diet and exercise....could ward off the diabetes...SO...and exercise and more water is good for the neuropathy....sooooo need to do less sitting and more moving....Did no snacking yesterday and went for an hours walk...so to keep it up....I am here to get and keep me healthy!

Karen....Enjoy the play....and family time!!  Any word on the job front for hubby?

Josie...Enjoy your quiet day...and how fun to go on a bus trip...what are you shopping for?  Would love to go with you!!

Coffee, errands, and blood work today...AND a walk!!

Hi Buddies.

Karen:  sounds like a fun night with hubby and girls.

Ruthie:  Your symptoms sounds like neuropathy.  My husband had that the last 6 years of his life.  They diagnosed it with that needle test, the same one I had to rule out carpal tunnel but his targeted his legs and feet.   I pray you get a better diagnosis than that as it never goes away, I want something they can cure you of.

Today is quiet day at home and good thing as tomorrow is long bus trip to some outlets in Penn.   The bus picks us up at 6:30am and we don't get back until after 10pm.   I have a friend that is going to spend some time with Rudi in the afternoon to break up the amount of time she is alone.  I am shopping for myself!

Carol: waving HI to you too.    Love,  Josie
