GOOD TUESDAY MORNING, BUDDIES!

Happy Tuesday/Friday!  LOL

The college is closed as of 5:00 tonight, and I'm a free woman until next Tuesday.  Just two class to teach today, and that's it for the week!  I'm a happy girl, can you tell?

So, how are you all today?  I hope we see Josie and Carol and Mary and some of our other buddies soon.  What are your plans for the day?  After my classes, we're headed over into DE to a place that's offering free flu shots - can't beat free, right?  Then we're headed to K's for dinner.  She's so cute with her plans to have us to dinner.  (Don't tell her I said that, but I'm not sure your kids ever stop being cute to you, do they?)

I hope you have a terrific Tuesday!

Ruthie -

I emailed my mom, and she got right back to me.  (Love that woman!)  Here are our emails:  (Mine in black; Mom's in red)

Howdy, Ma - Howdeeeeeeee...

I have a friend on my board who's just been diagnosed with P.N. (too lazy to type). That is how all us "victims" refer to it, anyway. She's wondering what kind of treatments she should be expecting. Do you mind if I ask what medicines you take and share the info with her? Not at all... Do you still use the patches? Yes, I do. They are Lidoderm (Lidocaine Patch 5%). I wear them at least half the time. Sometimes my feet feel somewhat normal in the morning, and I just put on a cream called Diabetaderm (I think that is spelled correctly.)

Any info you're willing to share would probably be helpful to her. I take 3 grams of Neurontin daily - divided into three doses. I get checked every three or four months by my neurologist.

Thanks a lot . Love you! Love you, too!

 Me Mom

Mom said she'd send info as it comes to her, so there's probably more on the way soon.

Josie - I'm so sorry that Rudi is still having problems with her rash. It's a blessing that it doesn't seem to bother her though. I'm glad to see you today! ((((HUGS)))) - Karen

Good Morning

Karen...appreciate you making a note about the neuropathy.... Glad you are getting free flu shots....good plan!!  Yes...it takes a major get together to motivate me to clean!!!   LOL

Josie...good to see you!  I know my last dog had skin issues almost her whole life...we didn't do a lot about it...vet said it was common in dogs that had been spayed...we did add a bit of cooking oil to her food and that seemed to help...

Today going over to my folks...Dad has a phone pacemaker check...and I will help...really easy but .....Then stop at store to pick up a few things we need NOW....Will have to do another small grocery run tomorrow...

Bowling tonight...and then tomorrow night we pick up son and his girlfriend at the airport....and the festivities will begin!

Hugs

Hi Buddies.

Karen: your day sounds good.   Enjoy the time off from teaching.

I sound like a broken record but Rudi's stomach rash is still coming and going!   She isn't showing any signs of discomfort so I need to just watch it more and see if the change in dog food kicks in as has only been 2 weeks or if it is the grasses outside hopefully we get some relief there too.

Watching last night's Voice, some of them are really good.

love to all,  Josie
