Good morning!  Ready to get your thankful on?  I'm feeling thankful for so many things today - my family, our cozy little house, the savings we have that are giving us something to live on while Dan looks for a job, the free flu shots I found for us, generous people who give wonderful things to Goodwill, the Redskins/Dallas game later today - and my buddies!  It's so nice to have buddies to talk to every day - thank you!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day.  I'll be back in a few.  Take really good care of yourselves 'til then!

Happy Belated Thanksgiving to my buddies.   Years ago I use to write in my journal on Thanksgiving all I was thankful for and of course hubby was always first.   Yesterday was the first time in 3 years I have done that again and this time I was grateful for the memories, the pictures I have of him throughout the house.  The notes I saved from him and I have all of his greeting cards.  I also could be thankful for a house, Rudi, money in the bank, being able to stay retired,  and my friends like you all here.

The Buffet was good, I enjoyed some of the foods more than others.   they had smoked salmon and all these fancy cheeses, I actually enjoy the chicken with wild rice more than the turkey.   The Inn was built in 1922 and is so gorgeous with all the wood work in it.  Very well organized and they had tables set up in all these rooms and had it staggered so the line at the buffet was never too long.  Can you tell I use to work in food service and I can admire well organized restaurants?

Today I see my therapist later.   Will walk Rudi early, now watching a small boo boo on her one paw,  I talked to my former pet owner friend and I think the benefit of walking surpasses that she might be picking up an allergen somewhere.   Outside of some licking on her paws, she is showing no signs of being bothered by anything.

Saturday going to the latest Twilight by myself as none of my friends could care less about it.

Put out decorations, got the table top fiberoptic tree out, first time in 3 years and I did put the small hallmark ornaments on it.   This is a major step for me, and i had such a roller coaster week,  I was thinking on monday I was boycotting Christmas so God has helped more with my healing this week.

Ruthie and Karen and Carol:  I hope you are all enjoying your family and friends.   Treasure every memory ladies.

love,  Josie
