Hi -

My name is Karen, and I'm the cl (Community Leader) here on the Dieting Buddies board.  Currently, our board is a little slow because of some of the technical problems the boards are experiencing.  Even though you won't see much activity here, I will check in daily to see if there have been any posts, so feel free to stop and say hi!

:) - Karen

Tammy - A new baby can really throw a life into a whirl, can't it?  I'll bet he's such a cutie.  I wish it was possible to visit and see him.  He really ought to meet his CyberAuntie.  ;)

I'm so happy that you posted.  It's so great to see a buddy here!

HI Karen,  I tried to send you a private message, I don't know if it took or not given the ongoing tech problems with ivillage.

take care and I hope the message went through,  Josie

Hey Guys i think that diet buddies is a weight loss plan for the whole family that Really Works.Eat less, shift more. We’ve observed that guidance for many.Diet Buddies is far different than most mature diet programs. There are no special foods or dishes. No trading one food for another. Most foods will not change—so nothing will be missed! Thanks a lot!!

Hi - If I'm understanding your post, you're referring to a specific diet plan called Diet Buddies.  This board isn't really about a specific plan -- just people offering support and friendship while we try to lose some weight.  In the past, we've had buddies from just about every plan you can think of - WW, Atkins, Low Carb, Nutrisystyem, lap band....the list goes on and on.  Thanks for letting us know about your plan too.

:) - Karen

greetings! seeking some advice to stay on task with weight loss. I'm 69 this year, guardian of grandchildren; very little time to myself. Getting some of the children off to school 7-8:50 am; other two watch cartoons while I do some HH chores and tend to business matters; we go outside for 1+ hrs: they play, I do yard work. we go inside, have lunch, catch school bus for PM classes. I return home, have my lunch (usually my first meal of the day),do HH chores and/or take a nap, meet sch bus, bring all home for their snack and relax time until 4:30. go outside, keep appts, run errands, etc; 5:30 start dinner, eat dinner, help w/sch work, and have a family game time before brushing teeth and getting ready for bed. I'm on computer in adjoining room until they fall asleep. Then in kitchen; with hubby; wrapping up HH chore's loose ends, then go to bed about 11pm. Question: These energetic little people keep me scatter-brained enough, that I seldom eat when I should, forget my vitamins, am so tired I often have to take a nap while they're in school. This usually causes something left undone, so I have to double up the next day. I have a planner and notebooks not always with me when I need them. I have white and cork boards, which were set up where someone else determined was the best place and not in view unless I am looking for them. Which if I were looking for them, I would remember why and not need them. I need the boards where they jolt my memory: I need suggestions on time usage. Next is my menu planning, which is fairly easy, with modifications each meal for children's nourishment, my weight loss, and hubby's special foods due to health reasons. It takes me approx 20 minutes to dish up and serve each child and hubby. (the children are not old enough to use a knife or dish up hot food, themselves). When I set down to eat dinner, everyone is finishing up. I'm 2 hours late getting to bed tonight, but I do hope some responses will have made it worthwhile. Thanks for reading.
