Carrie I think December was a tough one for all of us!! I love your mindful goal of taking a night for yourself. I think that it's always easy to rev ourselves up for January, so hopefully this will be a successful month for all of us!

Here's to hoping the January is much more successful than December because I'm not sure my body could survive another December...lol.

Two random questions:

Anyone have recommendations for a face moisturizer? I'm about to run out and while I like what I have (bare escentuals) I'm open to other suggestions...

Secondly - anyone have some good crockpot or soup/stew recieps? I just made another batch of split pea soup in the crockpot the other day so that will be my lunch for the next few days but I need to get another recipe in the works for the next go round.

I love you *me* goal and spendng money on workout clothes! I hate clothes shopping, but I could spend all day looking and workout gear!

I totally agree! I was just looking today but have decided that new workout clothes will have to wait. But what a great reward to maybe have for sticking to your goals!

I detest clothes shopping to! I just have capri style workout pants right now and wear them with a T-shirt but I'm thinking of getting the longer exercise pants and an tank type of shirt. I'm not sure I'll like the shirt since I don't like fitted clothes and like them to be super long at the waist but we'll see.

I'm not a fan of "fitted clothes" and since I've lost weight and haven't bought new clothes I find myself dangerously slipping into "baggy clothes" territory.

1) What kind of mosturizer are you looking for? I honestly LOVE the one Costco sells (Kirkland) that is the antiaging and spf 15 I think. It comes in a small glass bottle. It REALLY WORKS on fine lines and feels so light. I like Clinique gel if it is at night when I don't need sunscreen but don't want an antiaging/nighttime thing.

2) I like my chicken tortilla soup recipe.

Throw in 4 chicken breasts (raw)
2 cans of black beans
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 small can green chiles
1 cup of salsa (as spicy as you want)
I also add whatever veggies I have around - peppers and corn work great, but I have also used frozen peas, carrots, and green beans. It all works!
Cook on low 8 hours.
Scoop in bowls and serve with with 1/8 c. shredded cheese (for me) or much more for the non-weight watchers. And also I top with 12 baked corn chips (more if you want). It is awesome. My husband likes it. Low cal and very low fat.

Hey Carrie, I sure hope you are feeling better! What a lousy way to start off the week! I don't have any really yummy crock pot recipes - I'm still looking for that one real winner. I have a great turkey chili recipe, but haven't tried it in the crockpot. As for face lotions - I'm cheap so generally just use the $10 Dove daily face cream. I can't bring myself to spend $20 on face lotion yet!

And Kristen - THANK YOU for that yummy sounding recipe! I'll have to add that in to my next week meal planning!
