Carrie, my suggestion would be NOT to double up with cardio when you're having a legs day for weights. Try to double up when you're doing more upper body work.

But great job on pulling it together so quickly this year!

I was going to state pretty much the same as Miranda - legs and a run in the same day may be a little tough on your body... Awesome progress you made though from last year to this year!

Wow - I'm having a bit of a hard time getting back into the swing of things after the Holidays!

Miranda & Vanessa,

I get what you saying but I'm having a hard time sorting it all out.

Hey Carrie - I think you're schedule looks good. I always advise on not focusing on one particular body part just because that's the area you think you need work on. With your running, and doing weights in general (regardless of what body part you are working) you will notice that you will start to lose weight because you are building muscle all over which will help burn more calories.

How long are your weight routines? Are you going for a run immediately before or after your weights?

I hear you on the food - I have eaten almosts an entire tin of quality street. Brutal. LOL

I can't use those workouts to maintain - it's hurts to much for maintenance...lol!

LOL

I need to come up with a Sunday/Monday reward that doesn't cost me anything but is incentive enough to try and keep the calories at bay for the weekend...ideas?

Something to do Monday night? Paint your nails? A bath? Read uninterrupted? Make Monday your rest night if you're "good" over the weekend?

I really don't have extensive knowledge on the subject but I've always heard you shouldn't run and do legs on the same day. Maybe I don't have all the info though...

Hope your foot feels better. Maybe you should try a fast walk for your next workout? Cool deal on your next race. Jamie wants us to do a 5K around St Paddys Day too!

Vanessa I like those ideas! Sometimes I'll get those little facial packs from the drugstore and have whole night of pampering and beautifying! Of course easier said when you don't have kids racing around! LOL
