I'm excited!  Here we go.  Over the last few years, I have used January as a time of reflection and planning, and then I use February to get started on my goals for the new year.

This year is all about learning to focus on the things that are important.  For me, that's faith and health.  Health is pretty broad because I want to be healthy emotionally, spiritually, and physically.  In terms of physical health, my goal this month is to do some kind of exercise five days per week.  It doesn't to be huge, just enough to get my blood flowing and my muscles working!  I'm also starting to take a B-Complex vitamin.

Here I am on day one. I'm wearing yoga pants. That's a start, right? I'm going to do some stretches while we are watching the Superbowl in a little while. I've been doing research on good night time yoga, and I'm going to try some relaxing poses. So what are my goals in this? Most importantly, I want to find a good routine. Something that I can stick with so that exercise is more steady instead of a flurry of activity and then nothing. I want to improve strength and flexibility. 'Bye for now.

Month Two! I have discovered the wonders of YouTube. I knew I didn't have the time or money to commit to an exercise class outside of the home, and I've done my yoga and dance videos to the point where they aren't fun anymore. I was bummed, but then I realized that YouTube has full length workouts available. Have I been living in a cave??? This is very cool. I got up at 5:30 this morning, did some e-mailing and a Bible study, and then I did a 15 minute yoga workout. I don't think anyone is reading this, but do you have a favorite YouTube channel for exercise?
