Okay well August 2nd, and this month I'm determined to get my booty in gear! Last month I kind of petered out at the end, and ended up gaining a few pounds. Although I'm kind of raging PMSy so I might lose some of that. Crossing my fingers LOL

Last month's goals:

  1. Keep to high protein breakfast - YES. I'm pretty good at this one with eggs or protein smoothies
  2. Exercise for 100 minutes per week - Well I did 9 hours and 8 minutes, so even though some weeks were short, I got the average of 100 minutes in at 137 minutes per week.
  3. Keep off Gluten, Dairy, and coffee (to a minimum) - Nope. I was pretty bad last month. Have to try this again, as I ate lots of ice cream, gluten, and coffee.
  4. Complete two weeks of C25K at least

Lookit you - going from a goal of exercising 100 min per week to 150 min per week! Way to go!

Have you signed up for an August 5K? I couldn't find one for us in this month that coincided with our schedules so we're going to run one 9/18 and one 10/29.

eeeeeck! "raging pmsy"! My sister-in-law and I were joking about that show - snapped (where women "snap" and commit crime/murder) and thought that really that could happen to anyone with full blown PMS! he he...

Your goals look awesome and getting in 137 minutes per week of exercise - nice! I doubt I did 137 minutes the enitre month of July! I'm assuming the gluten, dairy, and coffee are for the celiacs? I would have a hard, hard time with that. I actually ran out of coffee last week and so I didn't have my morning cup as normal and I found that I didn't feel as hungry as usual... is there a tie between caffine and hunger?

You girls with your 5K plans disgust me! :)

LOL Carrie, come on! You know you would kick butt if got started again!

I don't know about the coffee - I think that while I'm not celiac, it does seem to affect my system when I'm eating a lot of it. So I'll try to keep it down. My brother was just diagnosed with severe gluten and dairy allergy, as well as eggs poor guy.

To keep up to the 150 minutes I really have to concentrate on getting those 15 minute Nike Training workouts in on those days where I can't fit in a real workout. I just don't want to have 'do nothing' days!

Tueday, August 2

Okay Vanessa, I'm stealing your format! Maybe it will help keep me on track! Not a bad day - except why oh why did I need TWO donuts on my home? I need to keep some snacks on hand for later nights. Which I've packed today! Great workout at the gym though, but no run today.

8:00 - Soy Berry Smoothie
10:00 - 1/3 cup plain oatmeal w/blueberries, 20 almonds, tall starbucks coffee with 2 pumps of vanilla & cream
12:30 - 2 cups salad w/mango chipotle dressing, 1/2 can tuna

If you girls keep it up you just might inspire me to hunt down a 5K and start all over again. That would be my 3rd time starting again... :)

I didn't realize you could develop an allergy later in life - I guess I thought you were born with them and might possible outgrow them - not the other way around.

Your food and your workouts are looking good! I love reading your food journals because they are so diverse! Did you make the mango chipoltle dressing - it sounds yummy!

Donuts make the work go round - literally!
