Monday April 2

Well I'm in Kimberley BC on vacation! First day I went and found a gym relatively close by, and got a good workout in on Sunday. Today I went out for a morning ski (3K) came home had lunch and went for a workout at the gym. Then I came home and crashed! I've figured out that I can see the TV from the hot tub so can watch the NCAA finals from there tonight!

I already cheated on my clean eating after a great day yesterday - a chunk of fudge. But I got back on board right away for dinner!

Food:

Breakfast: Chia Seed w/hemp and buckwheat, eggs, coffee, water
Snack: Nuts and grapes
Lunch: Brown Rice with flax seed and edamame
Snack: peanut butter fudge

What an awesome day - even with the fudge - AND while on vacation! Way to go!

Well I rocked the exercise part of the challenge - I worked out every day (most of the time twice) while on vacation!

Exercise minutes ended up being 225 for the week, water was about 287 for the week so I was under - need to boost that up.

As for my clean eating - started off pretty well, but tailed off considerably.

And NO burpees! Sheesh. I have to get it together for my next week!

It sounds like your vacation was fabulous! Getting in any workouts on vacation counts for double in my book and it looks like you smoked it! Getting to watch TV from a hot tub doesn't sound half bad either!

It sounds like a great start to April!

Well great start, kind of derailed yesterday, but am firmly back on the wagon today! My last day off before going back to work. I've been off for 11 days including weekends - going back is going to be tough!

Yesterday was Easter dinner, with wine, lamb, ice cream pie, and chocolate. A diet disaster, but oh so good! And no workout yesterday either - just lots of running around and trying to clean up at home.

Am hoping to get in a workout today this afternoon, and I may even venture out side for a run if it's nice enough!

Ohhh... I'm envious of your 11 days off! Hope you are feeling re-energized and ready to tackle work with gusto...or just have a slow work week so you can adjust back into it! lol!

The holidays are always hard on the scale! Did you cook all that food?! Thats the best part about having the in-laws so close by - I just have to show up with a dish!

Carrie I lucked out - I just brought pie and wine!

My weight stayed about the same - although it's a bit messed up right now since for some reason TOM decided to come a week early - which is frustrating because being on the BCP is supposed to prevent a lot of that uncertainty!

Anyhoo, yesterday was an okay day for food, although I did get Vietnamese food for dinner. I got in a 25 minute run and 20 minute swim. For the run I was really surprised that after zero time on the treadmill I could go back to running for 10 minutes at a time. Swimming was a bit different LOL

I've signed up to do a sprint triathlon at the end of June so have a pretty strict 12 week training regimen I'll need to follow - but I think I'm in better shape than I was last year, and I have no idea what next year will be like, so I figured I'd try it!

Well yesterday was a write-off. LOL No exercise and for some reason I ate just about everything under the sun. And none of it was good. It was atrocious. Ice cream cake for dinner - need I say more?

At any rate, I kind of let myself wallow in my self-induced misery yesterday and made sure to pack healthy snacks and lunch today and will hit the bike at lunch to keep up with my training regimen. Hopefully today will go in the opposite direction of yesterday!
