Monday April 2

Well I'm in Kimberley BC on vacation! First day I went and found a gym relatively close by, and got a good workout in on Sunday. Today I went out for a morning ski (3K) came home had lunch and went for a workout at the gym. Then I came home and crashed! I've figured out that I can see the TV from the hot tub so can watch the NCAA finals from there tonight!

I already cheated on my clean eating after a great day yesterday - a chunk of fudge. But I got back on board right away for dinner!

Food:

Breakfast: Chia Seed w/hemp and buckwheat, eggs, coffee, water
Snack: Nuts and grapes
Lunch: Brown Rice with flax seed and edamame
Snack: peanut butter fudge

How irritating about TOM! I would be plain annoyed if I was on BCP and it was still irregular - is that normal for you! I have to say with loosing some weight my body is on a pretty strict TOM schedule now - I'm not on any hormonal birth control (copper IUD) and yet I can now tell you the exact day I'll get TOM. I've always been a 28-32 day cycle kind of girl so to nail it down that much is pretty exciting for me! lol!

Wow - a sprint triathalon! Sounds exciting but I'm glad it's you and not me. I can float well and I'm comfortable in the water but I'm not a good swimmer - that would do me in! Is it distance or time - I think I remember you doing one before but it was time which suprised me because I've never heard of them being done that way.

Carrie it is annoying - it's usually pretty regular for me, so I don't know if my colitis meds throw things out of whack or what. This is about the second time it's happened, so I'll just wait and see.

As for the sprint - it sure as heck won't be a "sprint" event for me - it is all by distance. The one I did before was the try-a-tri distance which is really short. If I feel like maybe I'll have issues with the swim I can switch to the try-a-tri distance again, so I'll aim high and see how things go!

April 9 - 15 Spring Challenge

Okay Vanessa I'm totally stealing your journal format, because it's simple and will hopefully keep me on track!

I'm a bit off track for training because when I went to the gym at lunch I realized I didn't have my exercise clothes, which really sucked because I worked last night, so had to go and buy exercise pants just to have something to wear at the gym!

April 9 - 15 Spring Challenge

Alright, well the end of my week wasn't great. Food was off, water was off, and if it weren't for my fitness seminar where I did 90 minutes of TRX and 90 minutes of MMA Interval training I wouldn't have hit my exercise goal either!

My gram was in hospital for her surgery this week so I did try to spend time up there, and my mom was staying with me while she was here, so my week was just out of whack. There are a LOT of foods my mom can't eat, and we ate out quite a bit so my food was off.

Yeah - - - I've gotta update my last week's journal and I'm sure it won't be too pretty either. Let's see how we do this week!

Wow - 180 minutes of exercise in one day?! How did you feel on Sunday? What is the TRX class? Great job on getting the swim in - I'm really excited to hear how your triathalon goes!

It sounds like a lot of us ladies are in the same boat for food... maybe we can all regroup and pull it together this week!

Sunday was a little rough - mostly felt it in my back and chest - and I've got a huge bruise on my arm and no idea how it got there! LOL

I've decided that I'm only going to do the Try-a-tri distance again. I just haven't been able to put in the swimming I really need to, and it's an open water swim. Our election is on Monday, and my gram is still in the hospital which means that it will be another sporadic week of exercise and I'm already a week behind in my training. I'll see how the short distance goes and then maybe look at the sprint distance later in the summer if I can get my swimming up. I might even look at taking some lessons!

Food was still pretty bad, but I'm ready to get back on the healthy eating wagon this week. TOM is still hanging around, which REALLY sucks, but I'm sure things will be back to normal by the end of the week!
