Monday April 2

Well I'm in Kimberley BC on vacation! First day I went and found a gym relatively close by, and got a good workout in on Sunday. Today I went out for a morning ski (3K) came home had lunch and went for a workout at the gym. Then I came home and crashed! I've figured out that I can see the TV from the hot tub so can watch the NCAA finals from there tonight!

I already cheated on my clean eating after a great day yesterday - a chunk of fudge. But I got back on board right away for dinner!

Food:

Breakfast: Chia Seed w/hemp and buckwheat, eggs, coffee, water
Snack: Nuts and grapes
Lunch: Brown Rice with flax seed and edamame
Snack: peanut butter fudge

Monday April 16

Alright, yesterday was great up until dinner, which I didn't really eat because I went straight from work to the gym, then to the hospital, and then picked Matt up from work, and didn't get home until 10. But I DID fit in a workout, so even if dinner was a bust, I'm okay with the day overall.

Well pretty good day yesterday. Got a little snacky towards the end, but still managed to stay away from the REALLY bad snacks. No formal exercise but was out door knocking for 2 hours so a lot of walking!

Chia seeds are actually the same seeds that people grew "chia pets" from LOL BUT now it is used as a super food because they are high in Omega 3, fibre, and protein! They look like little poppy seeds, but when you add water, they form a gel coating around the seed, so a few teaspoonsfuls with water added will turn into a pudding like substance.

There's an article here : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/04/16/chia-seeds_n_1419525.html

Vanessa, the product I'm using right now is a comination of chia, buckwheat and hemp hearts - and I use 2 tbsp at a time, and slice up one or two strawberries to put in. I really love it!

Wed-Sunday April 16-22

Sheesh. This week has flown by. And it was crazy which I knew it would be. Between getting out to my grams, door knocking for the election on Monday, work, gym work, and yes, another DATE! my week was packed.

Food:

Food has been pretty good - I'm back to salad's at lunch which I really like I just need to find time to make it, and keeping to my eggs and hemp seed mix in the morning. Dinners have been so-so because I've usually been out, so either eating on the run or eating late. And a few afternoon snacks that were completely unnecessary.

It sounds like you had a very busy week Miranda! All that walking certainly counts and I'm sure it would add up to quite a few miles without you being aware of it! I understand about not tracking it though... I didn't track my challenge workouts just because they didn't seem like a "formal workout" because they weren't that long.

I sounds like it's just that time of the year for us where things are extra busy - a mix between summer fun and spring cleaning/projects!

Carrie doesn't it get crazy? I'm thinking I may really need to get my lazy butt out of bed earlier and go for a run or walk in the morning or do something just to make sure I'm getting at least a bit of exercise in before the days get nuts!

That being said, I REALLY need to look at my food. Eating is really 80% of the battle, and I think I'm just eating too much!
