Wednesday Feb 1

This week has been great so far - another trainer sent me her competition regime including diet and exercises. The new 4 day split I put together is pretty close to what she had, so I'll stick with my routine. I do have to add more cardio (boooooo.).

The food was the interesting part. Basically they calculated what her calorie needs were with a high level of activity, and reduced that by 500 per day. So if her calorie needs were 2100, then they put her down to 1600 and told her that she had so many grams of carbs, so many grams of protein, and so many grams of fat to take in. The percentages worked out to about 40% Carbs & Protein each, and 20% Fat, plus one high carb day where you ate 50% carbs, 33% protein and 17% fat.

Food:

  • Calories: 1,316 (39.1% Carb + 34.8% Prot + 26.2% Fat)
  • Breakfast: 1 egg, 1/2 cup egg whites + 1 cappuccino
  • Snack: 12 Almonds, 1/2 grapefruit, Skinny Pepperint mocha

That's what I'm hoping! Yesterday was just okay and I haven't input all of my food into sparkpeople, but I was pretty good. No workout since I worked - but had some great clients so it made for a fun night - and I always figure since I'm on my feet walking around for 5 hours I get some exercise!

Wow - so this week has really sucked for tracking. Probably because it's sucked for eating. LOL Last night it was pasta, and wine. And couch time.

But I have gotten in 3 weight workouts so far, and I'll hit the gym tonight, not sure about the weekend, I'll be in Calgary visiting the cutest niece in the world. And cutest nephew. LOL My mom is also hosting a Heart and Stroke Fundraiser which is a chocolate and port night. So of course I'll be indulging :-)

I think next week I need to get back on board with food prep and tracking. And again I've done a crappy job of fitting in my cardio, so I'm considering starting up on the Ease into 5K because it's actually nice enough outside I could probably run outside. WE really haven't had much of a winter yet, it's been awesome!

I saw the pics of your niece on fb - she is very cute! What a great way to spend the weekend... holding newborns, eating chocolate, and drinking!

Your workouts once again amaze me! I'm sure you'll breeze right back into the C25K program. We've had the same winter as you so it's made for some great outdoor running! I'm sure being outside will be helpful in keeping you motivated.

Wow, kinda off track over the past week. Have been busy, also had TOM a week early, and is dragging on a bit. Delightful. Anyhoo, have got to give myself a kick in the pants and get back on track here. Food was so so yesterday until I realized I hadn't logged my two-cookie afternoon snack. Oops. And maybe didn't need the wine, but we got some "reorganization" news yesterday which could potentially end up being crappy. Excuses, excuses. I've decided not to set any goals this week as it's looking again a bit crazy with work, and other committments.

Food:

  • Calories: 2,159 (47.4% Carb + 23.5% Prot + 29.1% Fat)
  • Breakfast: 1 egg, 1/2 cup egg whites + Coffee w/vanilla creamer
  • Snack: 15 Almonds, 1/2 grapefruit
  • Lunch: 1 Can Tuna w/sweet chili sauce + 2 cups romaine lettuce + 2 multigrain rice cakes
  • Snack: 2 Cookies, protein bar (later)
  • Dinner: Chicken & Sweet Potatos with black beans and brown rice + red wine
  • Snack: 2 rice cakes

Exercise:

  • Nothing

Goals:

  • No goals this week

A pretty good day! I didn't get a workout in, but honestly with the amount of weights I was hauling around cleaning up the gym, I'm sure that's worth something! LOL A busy, crazy night at the gym, so was definitely kept running!

God help me if I have two good days in a row. LOL I fell off the wagon yesterday. Not sure why. things were going well, and then suddenly they weren't. I got pretty annoyed with some of the ladies at the gym who quite frankly couldn't shut their pie hole about how unfair it was that the Zumba class was now a tagged class which meant only 50 people could go and how they were being treated unfairly. And they were just annoying and chatty even in the steam room they wouldn't shut up. Arghhhh. So now I can say I eat when I'm bored, stressed OR annoyed. LOL
