I think you must have been sneaking away to the gym more often then you let on - your time for the 5K was great! You ran with your mom right?

I LOVE the idea of the mini-workouts. That is such a great idea that I think I'll steal it or maybe use the idea of "mini workouts" to get my weekends back on track.

Well I go to the gym again this morning, but since it's my last day off I'll have to see how my new found enthusiasm goes with a full work schedule!

Thanks Sonia!

I've had a great couple of days - but it's finally back to work tomorrow! I've been off since Christmas Eve, so it will be a big adjustment going back. :-(

I've been pretty good and while I'm not eating quite as much protein as I'd like, I'm pretty happy with how my eating is under control. I have planned out meals for each day this week, and feel like I should be able to stay on track there. As long as I can resist temptation at work I'll be fine!

Okay, so I'm really kind of starting Monday in terms of tracking:

Monday January 3

Calories in: 1,567

Calories Out: 2,021

Difference: -454

Workout: 23 Minute Run / Chest & Triceps Workout

Tuesday January 4

Calories in: 1,504

Calories Out: 2,540

Difference: -1,036

Workout: 25 Minute Run / Legs & Shoulders Workout / 40 Minute Cross-Country Ski

Whoa - your putting me to shame with your high workouts! You've really turned it on full force for January huh? Guess I'll just have to get in line myself...lol.

How many calories do you burn cross country skiing? Do you go on a track or just out in the woods somewhere?

Well I yesterday I did 400 calories in 40-45 minutes, and I skiied about 4.5 km. I was pretty uneven in terms of effort - fast/slow/fast/slow LOL I went out where there were set tracks - I can only do classic, I haven't been able to figure out how to do the freestyle skate skiing.

So cool Miranda! I'll bet your uneven pace was actually to your advantage! So often I feel like I get stuck in my pace...

Wednesday January 5

Pretty okay day. I did have to go back to adjust my calories - I forgot a few things and found updated calories for others. But I'm still day three on burning more than I've eaten and I haven't been there for a while!

Carrie - shoulder guy (whose name is Anderson) is away in Atlanta until the 9th, but we've been texting while he's away which is good!

Calories:
M: 1,567 (-454)
T: 1,504 (-1,036)
W: 1,495 (-176)
