Okay well kind of a late start! But this month is off to an okay start.

I don't really know how I'm going to track or how closely.

My goals are:

Keep snacking to a minimum. Maybe have a cheat day.

Exercise 200 Min per week

------------------------------

Wednesday Oct 5

Kind of a disaster day. Got supremely ticked off at a co-worker. She is the classic one-upper (like Penelope from SNL). Yesterday I had bought a new dress, shoes, and ring for an event in October. So I show her and she says "Oh I had a dress made out of the same material in grade 9". Nice. Then she looks at the ring and says "Oh I wish I could wear fun rings. My jewellery is all expensive". Doubly nice. Siiighhh. She is just one of those people. So, obviously I went and ate my feelings. LOL Good job me!

Breakfast: 1 Egg, 1/4 egg whites, 2 Tbsp Hemp Seeds, Coffee w / Creamer
Snack: Oatmeal, Blueberries, 3 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
Lunch: Salad
Snack: Caramel Square
Dinner: Chocolate covered raisins, shrimp and soba noodles, ginger beer

Exercise: 15 Minute Ab workout, 15 Pull-ups on the assist machine, 10 Dips on assist machine

Your co-worker sounds wretched! Life is way to short for those type of people...unfortunatley there seems to be one (or a cousin variety) in every workplace! I'm sure you look lovely (ahem - pics!).

So what to hemp seeds taste like - nuts?

Carrie, hemp seeds does taste a little nutty - but they're softer than nuts. Almost a pine nut texture I think. I really like them, and like I said just having those 5 tbsp a day, really fills me up!

This weekend has been fun! I had a date on Friday which was so-so but pleasant enough. He was a bit older than me, and I'm not sure if he had a sense of humor. LOL Then Saturday I went to a boxing class which kicked my butt. Literally. 90 minutes, and 800 calories later I was exhausted, but in a good way! I will definitely go to that one again. Then I had date #2 with the phys-ed teacher, and we went and watched the University team hockey game. Then we grabbed a bit to eat at his house and he showed me all his sport memorabilia - I'm a huge sports nut, and I think this is the first time I've gone on a date with someone who is an even bigger sports nut! It was great! We just ended up watching the rest of the hockey night in Canada games on TV.

Then I cooked my first thanksgiving dinner for the family - and asides from a small fire in the oven (stupid turkey pan was leaking!!) it turned out beautifully! A made an apple sausage and sage stuffing which was nice, and my aunt brought over rum-raisin apple pie and homemade vanilla bean ice cream - add lots of wine to that and it was a perfect meal!

So no tracking, but I'll get in another workout today and I had a good one on Friday too - so 3 workouts in 4 days will hopefully make up for all the food I've eaten! LOL

Miranda - that sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did have to chuckle about the oven fire though... brought back memories of my one and only christmas dinner.

Date #2 sounds very promising - any plans to see him again?

That boxing class sounds killer! I don't know how you endure all that! Were there alot of people in the class?

Yup Carrie, good thing we had plenty of wine to sedate us after that! LOL

Date #2 was promising - he's invited me over for supper this week!

The boxing class was good - a lot of conditioning (jumping up on boxes, burpies, cardio drills) and then a lot of pad work. There was probably about 16 people in class - so a really manageable size! I will definitely remember to hit the hot tub after that class though - I was so sore the next day!

Awwwww... don't beat yourself up Miranda! You did have that killer boxing class recently and when you work hours like that there just is no way to fit in a good workout! What is a donair?

A donair is like a gyro - does that mean anything? Okay it's a pita bread with some kind of delicious mystery meat that is spicy with a special sauce that's similar to tzatziki, onions, tomatoes. It's delicious, but in no way healthy! LOL

I had to google donair...lol. I've never even heard of them before but honestly, it doesn't seem all that bad for you... at least not the recipe I was looking at. I does sound lovely though! Besides - you had a salad and diet coke with it!

Those long office days just throw the whole day off! 7-10 - ugh!!
