Jan 1 - 4 miles...41 or so minutes..1st mile only took me 8 minutes, the last 2 slowed me down!
My boys thought that a 5K was a light goal since I go out with Scout for 3 miles, so I'm aiming for a 10K in March.

Hey Sonia I know you got in a good run today - and I'm sure you can a 10K!! What a great goal! Fantastic start to 2011!
I would LOVE to have a jogging partner. I hope you sister keeps up with it - can you set a wager or something for motivation between you? My sis has started jogging and plan on moving back here this spring (she just moved away last fall - oye!) and I would love to do some 5k's with her this summer.
How many times a week do you bike vs jog?
I won't be ready unless I keep to 5 jogs a week, that is going to be tough with work, but *NO EXCUSES* ! I have to keep telling myself that!
I don't usually ride during the winter....I'm afair weathered rider and the days are too short. During the summer I jog in the evenings, but ride on the weekends when I have time to get in a few hours!
Jan 2nd - nothing - went mattess shopping instead...
Jan 3rd - nothing - worked 9AM to 11PM...
Jan 4th - finally 3.5 miles on the treadmill (yuck)
Well sorry you didn't like the run on the treadmill! But you will get used to it - and it beats running outside when it's freezing!!
Had to laugh at your boys thoughts on running. Some days I kind of feel the same way! LOL And I hope that long day of work isn't going to be the norm for this year - I know you had a lot of long days last year - can you hope for more reasonable hours in 2011?
I don't mind the treadmill at home - I've got it set-up by the TV so I can watch a show while I workout. I got on the treadmil at the gym on Monday and wasn't a fan of that - forgot my headphones so no music and that made it the longest 40 minutes EVER!
I have to say I REALLY like the idea of setting your goals to miles. I've been mulling it around in my head and it just seems more motivating to think of the miles one would accomplish instead of the number of treamill sessions. I might switch my goals to distance once I get back in the routine a bit...
Hey Sonia - great job on doing the treadmill with the headache, but also listening to your body and doing what was right for it!
Do you listen to music when you're on the treadmill or is your boss a talker?
