July was blissfully happy for me and it reflected on the scale. I looked back at last August's journal and these were my goals August 1st:
AUGUST GOALS:
- - 30 min of exercise each weekday during lunch to include running 3 times walking random hills on the treadmill 2 times
- - to totally restart Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred dvd from Day 1
- - to journal my food daily
- - to lose 5 pounds Wow - sounds eerily what I had planned for THIS August. Last August 1st I weighed in at 149 which was a 4lb GAIN from the previous month. THIS August 1 I weighed in at 152.2 - how AWFUL is THAT?!?
- My surgery is scheduled for August 15th so I have approximately 2 weeks in August that I can exercise because afterwards I can't exercise for 2 weeks which totally blows. I went to do my 30 Day Shred dvd yesterday and couldn't find it. I forgot I had lent it to a co-worker when I started P90X. I asked her to bring it in but she forgot to today and I'm pretty sure I won't be attempting it on a Friday night so I'll start it on Saturday.Because I only have 2 weeks I can exercise this month I'm going to post my proposed workout scheduled here through Aug 14th to try to hold myself accountable:
- Thu 8/2 - 30 min treadmill walk
- Fri 8/3 - 30 min treadmill walk
- Sat 8/4 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 1
- Sun 8/5 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 2// 30 min treadmill walk/run
- Mon 8/6 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day3// 30 min treadmill walk
- Tue 8/7 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 4// 30 min treadmill walk/run
- Wed 8/8 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 5// 30 min treadmill walk
- Thu 8/9 - REST DAY
- Fri 8/10 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 6// 30 min treadmill walk/run
- Sat 8/11 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 7
- Sun 8/12 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 8// 30 min run
- Mon 8/13 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 9// 30 min treadmill walk
- Tue 8/14 - 30 Day Shred Level 1, Day 10// 30 min treadmill run
- And I did rejoin Weight Watchers so I'll be back to points counting this month.

Thats a bummer! I didn't realize just how many trails were so close to my work until I started to run outside! I've got a fairly well connected trail system with loops and spurs about 1/4 mile away so it's easy to get to on a lunch run. It's also got a lot of varying hills vs flats so it's a great trail system.
Around my house it's just sidewalk and it's quite borring! It's also flat which is nice at the time but doesn't really help prepare me for reality...lol!
How does it feel to be back to exercise after having to take it easy? Are you enjoying it? You always impress with me with the amount of exercise you do!
The food will happen... give yourself a few weeks to get back into the schedule of school, married life/hubs gone, exercise and work the food in as you can.
It sounds like we are all ready to re-focus Sept 1st!
As for the food I'm sure once school is back in, and the schedules have settled down you will be back to good eating habits. Great job on the exercising though - let's get ready for a kick ass September!!
