I started December at 150lbs :-( Now the goal is to DEFINITELY be in the 140s by Jan 1. Typically I never LOSE weight during the holiday but this month I'm really going to try - even if it's just 2-3 lbs.

The plan:

- Lunchtime treadmill runs or walks 4 times a week
- 30 Day Shred dvd 4 times a week (a.m. OR p.m.)
- Track food
- Run a 5K on Christmas Eve

Thursday, Dec 1

B - coffee w/ creamer, equal, sandwich thin w/ laughing cow cheese, turkey bacon; apple
L - chicken quesadilla w/ sour cream
S - fiber one 90 calorie brownie
D - 5 wings, green beans

Water:
Th - 72 oz

Exercise:
Th - 12p - 30 min Treadmill Walk 2.2 miles (Level 6 Random, 4mph)

It was AWESOME! I'd only been to Atlantic City 2 other times but not on any overnight trips.

I've been there - watching fitness shows or reading a "health" book while munching chips! We all have those days!

Maybe this week I should munch on some veggies and hummus for the finale!

December is just brutal! Between parties, interuptions, holiday chaos.... it's amazing that we still manage to funtion at any level of awareness! When is the dress shoppping?

So so true! I am really going to make an effort for this week though. I went to the grocery store yesterday and really want to focus on eating right this week! Carrie

Well - the weekend went just as I had expected - overindulging in food and alcohol! This week doesn't have any choice BUT to be a better week for me

I'm glad you had fun in Atlantic City! It's always good to get away for a bit and certainly during the holiday's which are so stressful!

Do you and Jamie both stick to exercise/healhty eating better when your apart? I'm sure you'll get right back on track this week - kids are always a good motivator for healthier eating!

I stick to eating healthier when he's not here - probably because I don't have my after-dinner drinks when it's just me and the kids or me by myself. His exercise slacks when he's traveling and so does his eating with all that hotel food. We're trying to run our rescheduled 5K on Christmas Eve since we failed over Thanksgiving weekend with the whole engagement excitement so now we're both on a mission. He already checked out the gym at the hotel he's staying at and I'm trying to get my food back together!

L - leftover crockpot beef in cream of mushroom/onion soup mix, corn
S - chocolate covered pretzels
D - Hamburger helper stroganoff, green beans

Goals:
1200-1500 calories, 32-56 fat, 163-236 carb, 60-127 protein, 25-35 fiber

Actual:
Mon: 1318 cal, 40 fat, 187 carb, 72 pro, 28 fiber
Tue: 1585 cal, 74 fat, 164 carb, 85 pro, 20 fiber

Water:
Mo - 64 oz
Tu - 48 oz

Exercise:
Mo - 12p - 30 min Treadmill Walk 2.2 miles (Level 6 Random, 4mph) 250 cal burned
Tu - 30 min Treadmill Walk/Run Intervals (2.4 miles 287 cal burned)

Notes: Food content wasn't as good as Monday - too many snacks at the office!

Tue: 1585 cal, 74 fat, 164 carb, 85 pro, 20 fiber
Wed: 1894 cal, 89 fat, 219 carb, 73 pro, 32 fiber

Notes: Not a good day - missed my lunchtime workout talking to a friend/co-worker who was going through some issues, ate too many of the office snacks and then have a decent dinner since the kids were with their dad and I was just beat tired!

Vanessa, Monday and Tuesday were sure to offset Wednesday, and I'm sure you'll be back on track. It was good of you to sacrifice the lunchtime workout to listen to your friend.

Hopefully I can exercise some self-control at our sister-office's Christmas party we're crashing this afternoon. The good thing is that I have to pick up the kids this afternoon so I can only stay at their party for about an hour.
