Fasting or Intermittent Fasting

Ladies, I've come across a few articles lately on intermittent fasting, which is alternating periods of fasting with non-fasting. So for example you might fast for 20 hours in a day with 4 hours of non-fasting.

I'm wondering if any of you have had experience with fasting or intermittant fasting (other than mandatory fasting for medical tests/procedures)?

This is really out of curiousity more than anything, as I'm loathe to even think about depriving myself of food (maybe a whole other issue on its own! LOL)

I don't know if I'm interested in any of them, but there was one that talked about having a set period during the day where you would eat, but that would mean eating later in the morning and having an early dinner. I always think it's interesting to see how your body reacts to different regimens. I was just curious if others have experience with fasting and how they felt!

I will never believe that there is any health benefit to missing a meal....seriously I can't skip a meal without getting sick.

I unintentionally fast sometimes. I say unintentionally because I don't set out to fast nor do I prepare in any way. I'm simply just not hungry and find myself going nearly the entire day (think 10hrs or more) with only water. I've always felt fine when I do this, but I certainly wouldn't suggest someone do it. Whether it's healthy I can't say.
