As you know I work and train at my local YMCA, but I also go to interval classes at another gym called Blitz Conditioning. One of their employees has been on a 90 day fitness journey, and has been blogging about it. His last post was up to dday 84 and he had some great advice on what has made a difference to him ...

I would recommend checking out his blog posts from teh beginning - he has made awesome progress, and as you can see, he's just a regular guy who was trying to get into shape - not lose 100 pounds in a year, or train for a body building competition. He had days where he struggled wtih motivation, and was tempted by wings and beer. He blogged it all, which I really liked.
Too many times you read about these phenomenal journeys and rather than feeling encouraged, you end up feeling discouraged because you can't related to the journey. This was definitely relatable, and it was great to follow along!

I was talking to him yesterday and he said it was a lot of pressure to have the pictures done all the time, and he will be glad to not have to blog every second LOL He did say if he had more strictly adhered to the diet early on he feels like he could have seen a lot more definition in his abs, which is good for people to know - it's food not crunches if you want a six pack.
Agree with V..Cool Blog.
I have a friend that I greaduated with, she was drug in to the Warrior Dash last year. She finsihed, but was slow, I think we waited about 30-45 min. for her and another to finish it. Then when we signed up for the 5K in Dec., she agreed to do it again. Then when I shared the 100 miles in 100 days challenge she agreed to do it. She started off with a strong hate of running. We are on round 3 of 100 miles in a 100 days and not only is she still running, but she is addicted. She has gone from runni 3 miles if 45 min, to 3 miles in just under 30! I'm almost certain she will beat me this year in the dash! She never gives herself credit for what she done, and finds an excuse for why she had a fast run (flat run, no time-had to get it in). Yesterday after she was making excuses for her fast run, and trying trying to find reasons for my slow run, I posted a pic of her from the dash last year and a pic of her from our group run in early Aug. She finally said 'Wow, I hadn't done the comparison". Hard to believe that she was putting in 5 days a week and making improvements every day and NOT seeing her results!
