Yippee! Another weekend here - time to celebrate! (or at least finish drinking that coffee) LOL

How was the week? Stressful? Busy? Relaxing? Quiet?

Yay! First one to post lol:smileyhappy:

It's been a really crazy week. Barely had any time to exercise. My diet hasn't been all that great, I've been tossed around on errands all over the city for the firm. Had to work from 7 am to around 1 am this week (managment consulting is a really demanding career) I feel really bloated and sluggish, and it's not even my time of the month. It's so bad that I have to literally unbutton my pants just to breathe (and that can be a hassle, as well as embarrassing). I felt like I was going to pop! Been sipping tea, seems to work. I think it may either be fluid retention or probably irregularity due to my horrible eating habits (ate nothing but Chinese take out all week for dinner).

The next week is really hectic; headed to Berlin on a business trip for a whole week (consulting never rests, trust me). So, I'm taking this weekend to de-stress and de-bloat. Maybe catch a movie or two, and maybe take a relaxing walk in the park. Trying to take it easy, 'cause next week is going to be VERY hectic.:smileysad:

Hey Jennifer, that DOES sounds like a hectic week - both last week and next week! Definitely take it easy - and try getting out for a walk or two, maybe even some yoga might help. And definitely watch the sodium intake - you don't want't be bloated for your overseas trip, I'm sure it will feel even worse being on a plane.

Have you tried peppermint or ginger tea? Some people find that it helps with bloating. Have a RELAXING weekend!

Yep, definitely kicking off the heels and picking up the yoga mat; haven't done that in about a week. And yes, I'm staying on a very-low-sodium diet, I've been bloated on a plane once before, a few years ago, and that has to have been the MOST uncomfortable experience in my entire life lol. I drank peppermint tea, and it really tends to help, my stomach feels settled and starts to deflate just a bit after I drink it.
