September 10th Goals
20
Mon, 09-10-2012 - 11:58am

I saw this posted on another board, and loved the way they had it set-up. They asked board members to share their goals for the month and the reward that they would give themselves if they met their goals. I thought it might be a good idea to do weekly, and it really makes it more definted if we also share how we'll reward ourselves!

My goal for this week will be: Stick to my Meal Plan Monday to Friday this week.

My reward for this week will be: Pedicure

Oooooh, let me know how you like the kettlebells - I love using them in my workouts!

My goal this week will be to figure out how to use my GPS watch and heart rate monitor for tempo, interval, and race pace runs and to download the data to my computer.

My reward for this week will be: Running gloves! I just saw them at Costco and wanted to get them but held off.

My goal for this week is to try 2 new classes - Introduction to Kettlebells and Intro to Yoga.

My reward will be to download 5 new itunes songs onto my ipod.

I love both your goal and your reward!  You'll have to tell us how the classes went and what songs you downloaded!  I'm muscially challenged (I'll listen to anything but won't be able to tell you who/what it was!) so I had to take some songs from my hubs collection to have enough for a half marathon playlist.  Not the best idea - one of the songs was in German.  Total running killer! :smileyhappy:  I need to find some songs!

Miranda - Excellent idea!  I like the goal=reward strategy!

Are you planning a home or professional pedicure?

Hey Carrie - I love Costco for that kind of stuff! You'll have to tell us how you like the GPS watch once you've got it all set-up!

I'll go to the little cheap place to get my pedicure - it's a perfect lunchtime errand!

Vanessa - I got the garmin 210 (black with teal because it matches most of my running outfits...lol!). Seems a "middle model" with just enough bells and whistles to entertain me without being overloaded and pricey. I'm really liking all the data I get from it!

Goal: to find a way to cure my bloated belly from the bad diet I had over the weekend, then to consistently stick with my weight training routine for the rest of the week. Reward: planning on going to a massuse on the weekend for a much needed foot massage. My piggies have been so sore from wearing 6 inch heels all weekend (probably a bad idea) and as a single college gal, I don't really have anyone to rub my feet. :smileysad: Anyway, it should be good to de-stress at the end of the week. :smileyhappy:

Water will probably help with the bloating!  I remember those days...sigh!  You are making me feel old.  lol!  What are you studying in college?

As a married woman of 8 years I hate to have to break it to you but we don't even really have anyone to rub our feet. lol  Getting a foot rub can be rare in married life unless you are the 0.0005% that find that special mate that will do it.  Granted - I don't blame my hubs for not rubbing my feet.  Feet ick me out and I'm certainly not about to return the favor and rub his! :smileyhappy:

That sounds nice!  I've got this kit :  http://www.amazon.com/Bundle-Monster-Stamping-Manicure-Accessories/dp/B003ILUQPM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1347483154&sr=8-1&keywords=bundlemonster to do my nails myself but since I have to find the time/energy to get it done it's not always as appealing!

Ohmigosh Michelle, I'm a high heel wearer too - which is why I adore pedicures. And Vanessa, you're right, those cheap places seem to gradually increase the prices so we don't really notice LOL
