Prior to pregnancy, I was a gym rat that spent 30 mins lifting weights then an hour in spin class....everyday. I counted every calorie that passed my lips, averaging 1800-2000 calories a day, generally very healthy calories.
During pregnancy, I pretty much stopped exercising and ate an unknown, but reasonable, amount of calories. I allowed myself to indulge in those 'bad' things I otherwise wouldn't eat -- chips, whoppers & pasta/bread!
Post partum, (18 months) I haven't kicked my pregnancy habits yet (whoppers & no exercise) yet but I want to get back in to exercising & healthier eating habits! I work full time & haven't made time to work out but I know it's amout making time, not necessarily having time.
Here's the ODD issue: Prior to preggo I was a fit 155lbs, I am currently 130lbs and appear fit (still toned, just slow mph). My Dr tested my thyroid & Ive had a full physical, so as far as I know there's no health issues. When I was dedicated to workouts & calories I weighed more & wasn't as toned - now, eating whatever & not working out Im at a comfortable weight. Having an eating issue through my 20's, I am now worried about getting back at workouts and eating healthy. I don't want to lose weight, and I certainly don't want to gain - I don't know where my happy-medium is. I don't think it's right that I eat 2500+ calories a day but is it possible thats what I need?
