Would like to get in shape before another baby

Hi Everyone. My daughter is 3 years old and my fiance and I are thinking of another but aren't in any hurry. I put on a lot of weight with my daughter and never really took off the last 15 pounds. If I did the same with another child I'd really be in some weight trouble. So here I am and I hope to get motivated and get into shape this year. I am looking forward to meeting the rest of you.

Hi Jenna! Wow, has it been 3 years. I don't know if you remember me or not but we used to post together on the Moms Getting Fit board. I remember when you just had your baby.

What kind of exercise are you doing now? Walking is a great option and now that your daughter can ride in a stroller, it may be fun for both of you. I used to have one of those really nice athletic strollers to take my youngest out for walks.

Also, try eliminating a few "bad" items from your diet (like chips and soda) and you might see those 15 lbs melt right off. Good luck and let us know how you are doing.

Hi there! I so hear you; those last few pounds can be so hard to get off! Karla has some great suggestions and I know first hand that giving up soda can do wonders for weight loss. Simple little changes combined with a bit more exercise will start you on your way. And once you see a few pounds drop... well, that's motivation in itself! Wink

Hi, Jenna! Welcome to the board. I read here fairly regularly and pop in to post every now and then. I'm here trying to stay motivated in my fitness goals. I enjoy walking, doing yoga, and practicing Taekwondo when time allows. I have three children (the pic below is over a year old!), and to my own surprise, I'm thinking about a fourth! But we'll see... Anyway, hello and enjoy the support here.
