Good Morning,

Rather gray looking outside the window this morning and some frost on the ground as well.

Back to the workplace this morning.  I think I need a day off somewhere in here.  I think I have a few vacation days left but with the amount of time that the office was closed and closed early not sure how that will be received.  And there are those that insist they still have time coming to them that I'm sure will be putting their bids in.  I'll have to review my time sheets and see what they tell me.

I have an appointment after work and I'm really hoping traffic is not what it was 2 weeks ago.  A trip that should have taken me maybe 20-25 minutes ended up taking 1 hour 15 minutes and there was no reason for the delays.  It's what I call LI traffic-stupid traffic-too many cars too little space for them all.

Thankful for the Thanksgiving holiday and the time spent with family.  Thankful for a warm home and a job to pay the bills.  Thankful for you ladies.

There won't be any exercise time but hope to have another good day of eating.

Hope everyone is doing well and I'm now off to tackle laundry and other assorted household chores before heading to the paying job.

Have a great day!

Good morning. Love the start up!

I'm thankful for the incredible people that are a part of my life. The people who are here every  day and the ones who I see now and again who remind  me of how much good there is in life.

Off to work today. It's weird at work with  people leaving, people afriad to  say too much. Lots of  behind the scene chatter. I need to talk to  my boss up front today and see if tomorrow is my  last  or if she needs help next week. I see now  why maybe it's best to  not work for  friends, there is some awkwardness.

We decorated at moms yesterday and it was fun. I think Mom enjoyed it. I finally told mom I was leaving work . She said she thought I had  done the right thing but I know it worries her. I understand that. I'm confident this will be  something I look back at and  think it was a good thing. If not I'll check it  off as a learning experience. Won't be the  first one.

No winning lottery ticket here. Bu**er !

Good morning lovely ladies!  It is sunny and a brisk 38 degrees at the moment ... temps will be reaching the mid 50s today.

Well, I now have a full blown cold ... stuffed up, dripping nose, headache, sneezing, etc.  I do look a little like Rudolph ... hmmmmm. Embarassed   DH & I worked on the outside decorating yesterday / last night.  We started around 4:00 PM ... at 6:30 PM we decided that the lighted garland around the house needed 'something' ... at 7:00 PM we were in the car headed to Hobby Lobby.  I purchased 5 huge tubs of various textured red & green balls, that would be 500 balls ... I would have purchased more but that was all they had left in stock.  Anyway, I plan to make same color clusters of 3 balls and attach them to the garland, spaced about every 12 - 18 inches.  I'll make up all the clusters and do the math and come out with an actual spacing number.   I made up a similar look on the wreaths hanging in the front windows and garland around the front door ... it looks very pretty.  I have a couple small outdoor lighted trees that I am thinking about putting at the front steps, etc. etc   The house is probably half done outside, and today I have to go up to our offices to work.  I'll actually be travelling with DH today, so it will be a long full day up there.  My fingers are crossed that the decorating can resume on Friday.  Geez!

Susan, hope your work day is a good one & you make it to your appointment without much traffic hastle.  I bet things are crazy around your house with DD moving this weekend!  Excitiement.  Patty, I am so happy you got your Mom's house decorated ... I think it is important to keep things as normal as possible.  Did your sister have a doctor appoiintment yet?    Margo, back to work today?  Hope everyone played nice with you.  Nancy, thinking of you.  Hope you found your Mom in good spirits.  Safe travels.  D-Deb, always wonderful to see you posting!  Waving hello to all; keeping you all in my prayers.

Thanksful for so much .   Faith, family, health are always on the top of my list.   Thankful for a delightful Thanksgiving with the kids and friends.  Thankful the house is quiet again ... good grief, what will I do over Christmas break?  A month of kids.  Yell   I am always thankful for the friendships you all offer up here.  You ladies are an important part of my life and my sanity.  Thank you.

Time to get moving ... work awaits.  Hugs to all,

Karen

Susan, I know exactly what you're taking about with traffic... We used to live in Bellport and often on the L.I.E. so wishing you best of luck with that! :-)

Sounds like a stressful situation at work but think you're handling it well... I bet decorating at your mom's house brought out some good memories. :-) We didn't even buy a lottery ticket but am thinking of getting in on that for next time it starts getting big. It leaves the imagination to go hog-wild at what you'd go with the winnings! ;-)
