Happy Tuesday! What are your Tuesday plans?
A gray start to the day and have heard mention that the "s" word may be coming our way. Very specific-may be rain, may be snow, may be a combination. I guess just have to wait and see and be surprised!
Today is my oldest DD's birthday! Oh where have the years gone....due on November 6 and decided to arrive on November 27! DSIL offered to bring cake....he wanted suggestions....I told him that I was leaving it in his very capable hands. They've been married 3 1/2 years, and been together for 10 so I think he should be able to figure it out :)! We'll see what he comes up with.
Back to the work place this morning. Hopefully it will go quickly and smoothly. It will probably be another day without exercise.
I hear Mr.Ricky so I had better go see what he's up to. Hope you all have a great day!
Good morning. We have a rainy day here. I would so love to just be home cleaning and decorating. I anticipate a slow day at work. I would love to think I might get sent home early but doubtful. Hoping I go in and hear they have had lots of aplicants for the openings. Judging from a post I saw on their site the other day I'm doubtful. I had a mesaage last night from one coworker saying that things were a bit more mellow and she wished I'd stay a bit longer. She and I both know it is not a mellow that will last. Last time this coworker said things were better it lasted one day! Still I hope it will get better since she will most likely stay on longer. Remember when we were 4 and life was uncomplicated :)
Need to get it in gear and get out the door soon. I plan to exercise after work if I get off on time today.
Nancy, hope you have a safe trip and find your mom doing well.
Happy Tuesday - great start-up today, Susan!
It is a cool and wet start to the day here, and supposed to stay that way much of the day. We seriously need rain, so I'd like to see more rain, and less just wet and gray.
I was rudely awakened by Olwyn stomping up the length of my body, then standing on my hand purring at me. She wanted me to wake up and feed her. Amazing how heavily a 9 pound cat can walk when she wants to. I had to take up all the food before I went to bed last night, as Brigid has to have anestesia this morning for her dental cleaning. So, Brigid is off to the vet, and I have now had my breakfast and am working on a nice cup of tea. I am going to get the tree done, and then vacuuming to get all the crud up from putting up the tree, and hopefully all this can be done before Brigid is ready to come home. She's had enough trauma today without the noisy sucker machine.
Making meatloaf for supper, and must prepare for the back-to-work week. It has been so nice to take a couple of days off. I really needed a break.
Patty and Susan, I hope the work day goes well. Nancy, safe travels to see your mom. Karen, how are you? everyone Have a great Tuesday!

Good morning lovely ladies! Love the start up Susan. Waving hello to everyone.
Persistence is a good thing! More often than not, I am "not authorized" to post on iVillage ... this board is being so weird with me. In any event ... only two tries this morning and so far, so good! ;)
Extremely busy here ... computer work for the business. I took a couple days off last week to handle Thanksgiving, and you would think I was gone for weeks. That busy! DH mentioned maybe putting up Christmas lights outside this afternoon or tomorrow ... we had a weather system come through over the weekend, cold & snow. But we are warming up to the 50s for the next few days. Trying to decide if I want just simple white lights or the garland wrapped with white lights. We did color lights last year and I like to change it up year to year. ;) I love the garland look, but if we get an abundance of snow / ice ... it turns into quite a mess with the garland hanging from the gutters on all sides of the house. LOL, wondering about the issues I create for myself over simple decisions.
I cannot remember when I posted here last ... I was sick all day & night Sunday. I got real dizzy while at church. We stopped at the grocery store afterwards for just the bare necessities then came home and I crashed on the sofa. I slept off and on all day. My head was throbbing like it has never throbbed before. My chest felt tight and conjested, and I had coughing spells. I actually went to bed around 9:00 PM and slept until almost 8:00 AM (just woke up twice for potty runs). I was much much better yesterday, and last night there was a bit of a relapse. I slept more than normal last night and feel pretty good this morning. We'll have to wait and see what tonight brings ... symptoms seem to get worse in the evening hours.
Well, I was waiting on some information from the office, so I better go check my business email account and get back to work. Hope everyone here is well ... I really need to catch up! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs,
Karen, hope you start feeling better soon. I contacted the iVillage folks, as I am still having intermittent issues. Here is what Karla said.
There are many bugs still being worked out from the switch. Most of them are related to the massive size of the database that was migrated over to the new platform. Once the tech teams get a permanent solution to size problem, many of the issues you are seeing will be corrected.
The profanity filter is working overtime right now and has caught many of us. ;-) The tech team is aware and hopefully it will be solved very soon.
Thank you very much for your continued support and patience through this situation. We had hoped to have things smoothed out by now but it is taking longer than we had expected.
