Anyone making weight loss resolutions?

I'm really thinking that instead of making weight loss resolutions with a specific weight goal in mind, I'm leaning towards a "hit the gym at least 2x a week" type thing.

Anyone else doing similar? What else are you resolving to do? My favorite one, which has never come into fruition has been organizing. I think at this point unless Martha Stewart herself came here to do it, it ain't happening. ;)

I've done the organizing one many times... and I always fail! I need someone to come and organize my house for me, then keep up on it. I just don't see that happening. I actually set a pound goal for this year. I want to lose 40lbs this year. That's .71 lbs per week. I think it is fairly realistic and will give me something to strive towards. I love your exercise goal. Totally doable!

All i want to do this year is to maintain my weight loss.. It tough at this moment in time due to my injury of my archillan tendon and i want that to go away so I can walk without the feeling i have in it.. NOT fun.. esp for a person like me who is OCD on weight.. ((( I am hoping with this new health insurance i had to get i will be able to get a gym membership from it * that would be great if i could) ((( I also would like to clean this clutter of all sorts of stuff everyone collects here))) *** Just feel the same as you with the organizing ... * even a maid i don't think it would work due to i have a hubby who loves to save everything...

Yup, I just don't forsee organizing becoming something that ever happens, at least not until the baby stops playing with toys! LOL

That's a great goal and I totally bet you can do it!

Ouch! My husband tore his when he was little. He lived in a rural area waaaay in the middle of nowhere and they had to helicopter him to a hospital. :/

I hope you're able to get a gym membership or a discount on one! I know my ins offers a discount, but my gym is only $21 a month (incl tax) so switching to the gym that they offer a discount on would have me paying triple that. :/

Clutter is ONE thing I'm trying to stop. My house is small and it's just being filled up with too much stuff. :(

I just want the injury to be a non injury.. * I am a person who doesn't sit still * ants in the pants girl.. I do hope this ankle will go away.. Just to be able to walk without limping would be nice.. I only feel it when I walk on it. I have done what the basic doctor told me to exercise it stretching .. Just 2 x a wk.. This house here is a 12 room farmhouse.. very cold too.. NY is a cold state esp near a lake.. I do plan on keeping my goal weight at WW.. I am hoping in time I could go down lower than their 2lb range * one thing that others aren't following .. ( some of the members on goal is like 15 to 18 lbs below it with a doc note) * I for one think they are lucky but for me trying to maintain the 2 lbs is very hard on ones mind..

Hi guys,

I've come to this board after a long time ! It always feels good to see ya'll.

I have only 8 more pounds to lose to reach my goal weight and my target is to lose it by June 30th. I know, many people would set a time frame much shorter, but my ever present injuries and s-l-o-w metabolism won't let me do that ! So, 6 months it is.

I have a news to share with you. I'm now a board certified (NCSF) personal trainer. Got graduated last November. Seems like the passion for fitness really got me after all !!Laughing
