Anyone try/doing Shred: The Revolutionary Diet?

I saw him (Dr. Ian Smith) on a show once before, but saw him on Rachael Ray this morning. (Maybe it was a repeat?) Anyway, I really like the guy and how he talks about the healthy way to lose weight. I'm curious if anyone has had any luck. I'm getting really depressed with my gains. :( I'm thinking of finding a new doctor and getting a work-up done. I keep gaining even though I'm only eating 1500-1800 calories a day (I shoot for 1500), well below what the Harris Benedict Equation says I should be eating for maintaining weight. IOW, I am NOT eating 3000+ calories a day to create an influx enough to keep gaining like I am. I'm not even maintaining! Argh. So frustrating.

I am not on any particular diet but have lost 20lbs in the last several months. I'm slowly trying to cut unhealthy things from my diet and get more exercise in. I've kept at it for more than 6 months now so I believe I am really changing my lifestyle this time. It really hasn't been easy to change because I keep unconsciously going right back to my old habits.
