I say this all the time, but darn it, I really need to drink more water.  I always have dry lips and have come to the conclusion that it has to be due to my lack of water intake.

So I'm amending my resolutions to include drinking more water. I'm not going to give myself a daily amount, I'm just going to drink more because at this point, anything I drink is more than what I drink now. :(

That's a good resolution. Dehydration can cause a lot of different symptoms and problems so good that you're being proactive.

My daily goal is to drink 64 oz of water. I got a pitcher that holds just that amount and fill it first thing every morning. I don't always finish it but at least I can tell how much water I did drink each day. I also have a 20 oz water bottle that I take with me when I go out.

I think part of my problem is the fact that we're well water so I can't just refill, I have to get the water from the garage and fill it up. I could drink bottles after bottles but I don't know... I did just buy some Crystal Light packets so I'm hoping to start today. Going to try for 20oz of water. :)

Oh my gosh... I was JUST thinking this earlier today. I swear that I don't drink enough of good old water. I always reach for coffee or Diet Pepsi. Time to make water a priority! Now... how do we remind ourselves? LOL

Oh, and I recently read something that said you should drink half your body weight in water ounces each day. So if you weigh 200 lbs, you should drink 100 ounces of water each and every day. Seems like SO much! I'd be in the bathroom all day!

"I can't just refill, I have to get the water from the garage and fill it up. "

We have city tap water but the pipes on the main floor of our house make the water taste bad to me. From the upstairs bathroom sink it tastes fine so every morning I fill a gallon jug upstairs and bring it to the kitchen. I then filter it in a Brita pitcher and fill my 64 oz pitcher. It sounds like a lot of hassle but at this point its just part of my routine.

I'm not clear on what you're getting from the garage (store bought water?) but could you bring in a few bottles every time you come from the garage so there's always some water handy? For me anyway, when I'm trying to establish a new habit I need to make it as convenient as possible so I don't have easy excuses for why I can't follow through!
