I am not sure if I would trust an overweight doctor more or feel more comfortable with an overweight doctor. I feel like thinner doctors are judging me and that an overweight doctor understands my problems better.

I just can't see trusting diet advice from an overweight physician. Why is he/she not practicing what he/she is preaching? Personally I think it's like taking advice on how to quit smoking from someone who smokes.

I would trust weight loss advice from an overweight doctor.  It is just as difficult for them to lose weight as it is for us.  The fact that they are not thin does not mean they don't have the information needed to lose weight, but they also know the difficulty involved as they have experienced it themselves and would be more sympathetic.
